About the Aspergillus clavatus genome
Sequencing and first-pass automated annotation of the A. clavatus (NRRL 1) genome was carried out by the JCVI. It provides 11.4x coverage of the genome and consists of 143 unassigned fragments. Using PASA and EvidenceModeler (EVM), consensus gene models were generated from GlimmerHMM, Genezilla, SNAP, Genewise and Twinscan. Transitive functional annotation was performed between A. fumigatus Af293 proteins to their A. clavatus orthologues.
Non coding RNA genes have been annotated using tRNAScan-SE (Lowe, T.M. and Eddy, S.R. 1997), RFAM (Griffiths-Jones et al 2005), and RNAmmer (Lagesen K.,et al 2007); additional analysis tools have also been applied.
