Aspergillus fumigatus A1163 (ASM15014v1)

CADRE is currently funded by SYBARIS, an EU Framework Programe 7 collaborative project, grant agreement number 242220.

Funding for the incorporation of the Aspergillus nidulans genome within Ensembl Genomes has been provided by the European Commission under FELICS, contract number 021902 (RII3) within the Research Infrastructure Action of the FP6 "Structuring the European Research Area" Programme.

About the Aspergillus fumigatus A1163 genome

Sequencing and first-pass automated annotation of the A. fumigatus A1163 genome was carried out by the JCVI. It consists of 55 scaffolds. This isolate is a derivative of A. fumigatus CEA17 converted to pyrG+ via the ectopic insertion of the A. niger pyrG gene. CEA17 is a uracil auxotroph of A. fumigatus clinical isolate CEA10. Using PASA and EvidenceModeler (EVM), consensus gene models were generated from GlimmerHMM, Genezilla, SNAP, Genewise and Twinscan. Transitive functional annotation was performed between A. fumigatus Af293 proteins to their A1163 orthologues.

Non coding RNA genes have been annotated using tRNAScan-SE (Lowe, T.M. and Eddy, S.R. 1997), RFAM (Griffiths-Jones et al 2005), and RNAmmer (Lagesen K.,et al 2007); additional analysis tools have also been applied.
