Aspergillus clavatus NRRL 1 (ASM271v1)

Aspergillus clavatus NRRL 1 Assembly and Gene Annotation

About the Aspergillus clavatus genome

*Aspergillus clavatus* is a species of Aspergillus with conidia dimensions 3--4.5 x 2.5--4.5 μms. It is found in soil and animal manure. The fungus can produce the toxin patulin, which may be associated with disease in humans and animals. This species is only occasionally pathogenic.

The J. Craig Venter Institute sequenced the Aspergillus clavatus strain NRRL 1 genome at 11.4X coverage using whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing. Version 3 of the genome assembly consists of 231 contigs in 143 scaffolds. The genome assembly has undergone automated annotation.
